and had nothing to look back on but photos to last us for the rest of our lives.
We are Alvin & Debbie from The Collective Memories. We are a couple photographer team that works in a pair and specialises in capturing our client’s rawest and most treasured moments during their wedding, pre wedding, family photoshoots etc and turning them into visual stories.
Our years of experience in helping local and multi national brands create photo and video advertisements has equipped us with the skill sets required to be at the right place and time to capture the best moments of any event. Over the years, we chose to focus primarily on portraits purely because we love how much emotions we are able to capture through people. The tiniest of smile, that fleeting gaze and that soft touch, each telling a story on it’s own.
Having personally lost a loved one in our lives, we know that when it’s all said and done, photos are truly pictorial memories that we can use to remember for the rest of our lives.

Pre Wedding Photoshoot - I didnt want a typical posed shoot with 2 crazy toddlers and my parents. So my request was rather.. weird. I wanted candid shots that looked.. nice. Which I personally feel is a tough feat, especially with 3 adults running after 2 young toddlers. BUT Alvin and Debbie caught all the little moments that mattered most to me as a mother- the innocence, the naughtiness, the love for freedom in their eyes, and the simplest and purest of grandparents love for their grandchildren. They were great with engaging with my children, and even chasing after them for shots! Love their passion and work. Am definitely looking forward to a next photoshoot!

We engaged Alvin and Debbie for 3 events on separate occasions - our PWS, AD solemnization and also wedding dinner (2020-2021). They were friendly and took time to chat with us to find out more about what was important to us for each event so they could capture those moments. Even though we had to split the AD services to 2 days due to COVID, they were very understanding and worked with us to find a suitable date promptly. We also weren't the most comfortable or natural in front of the lens. but Alvin and Debbie made it less awkward and we ended up really enjoying ourselves (especially during the PWS hehe). Debbie was also really kind to help me with my gown change during the PWS hehe. The photos for all 3 occasions turned out beautifully as well, and we really appreciate working with such great photogs! 🙂
